Come, let us have some tea and continue to talk about happy things. – Chaim Potok
Sip the tea, dry the bag in the sun, remove the tea leaves and sprinkle them around the garden. There is a sacred ceremony to preparing tea bags as a tiny canvas to paint upon.
And then a bit of magic happens. The reddish tea stains often reveal a face, or wings. On the angel above the shape of her wings in the tea stains looked like leaves. There is a sense of peace for me out among the trees in the forest. This angel is an Angel of the forest, with leaves for wings, and flowers in her hair. She whispers…
“Look up and reach for the sky. Your strong roots will hold you. I bring you the peace of nature in the forest”
I am taking an online painting class called Tiny Bags of Love offered by Jeanne Marie Webb. Stop by to see the amazing faces that emerge on her tea bags, all the way from South Africa. She is a wonderful teacher. I discovered it is not easy to paint so small, but it is playful, magical and sacred.
More of my tea bag angels will be sharing their love and messages on here soon.
Blessings,
